My aviation journey has been extraordinary Gunjan Bhatnagar

Growing up, I admired my father as left for work, wearing a pristine white shirt adorned with shining golden insignias on his shoulders. Today, I have completed 14 years with IndiGo. My journey from a little girl wearing her father’s cap and gazing at her reflection for hours, to becoming the first female aircraft maintenance engineer in IndiGo, has been nothing short of extraordinary. While the job of an avionics engineer is challenging, I believe it is an exceptional career choice, particularly for women. There is a huge scope for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering in India due to the fast- growing Indian economy, especially in aviation. There is a high demand for skilled individuals to fulfil the current workforce requirements. Moreover, the increase in demand for air travel and the massive surge in airlines has raised the need for quality and skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineers . So, a whole new world with a myriad of work prospects opens up when you pursue a career in aviation which is both challenging and satisfying.
