Different Types of AME license Courses in India

Eligibility and Course Details

Students that have cleared the class 12th exam with 50 percent of marks in PCM stream are eligible for admission to the AME Training Program. B.Sc. degree holders and engineering diploma holders can also seek admission in the course. The training is imparted to both boys and girls and during the first year, basic information on the aircraft rules and regulations is imparted. Trainees for the AME course need to take the structural aircraft courses in avionics and mechanical streams. At the end of the training, students need to appear for the license exam. Once the candidate gets the DGCA or EASA license, they require a regulatory license on the type of aircraft. This is followed by an examination conducted by the DGCA. AM engineers have the duty of inspecting the airplane and certify the fitness of the plane.
