Who can do Aircraft Maintenance Engineering?

The DGCA, Govt of India issues regulatory guidelines for the approval and operation of Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Colleges or AME Colleges which needs to perform and demonstrate the training & examination procedures as stipulated in their AME Course curriculum.

To ensure successful AME Admission in the DGCA approved AME college, the regulatory guidelines mandate a candidate to satisfy the following conditions;

  1. Having passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as his/her majors
  2. Minimum age at the time of admission to be 16 years
  3. Physically & medically fit with no colour blindness
  4. Possess valid passport or Aadhar card
  5. Basic knowledge of English language
  6. Diploma holders in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics stream may also apply.
